Y'all. The semester is finished. Yeesh, what a full week it was.
Sojourn vs Journey
First: I just like the word sojourn. Second, here are some thoughts about how the words sojourn and journey compare.
Journey = v. "travel from one place to another"
Sojourn = v. "stay temporarily, reside for a time; visit"
I think part of a well-lived life comes through both the considerations of how we journey and how we sojourn. What destinations (physical and not) are we traveling towards? But also, how do we spend our time in the interim? How well can we reside? I wonder if we are too journey focused--focused on getting elsewhere--that we never seep into where we are. Yet, if we are too stationary or don't evaluate our destinations, we may miss the places we ought to be.
I kind of want to be a sojourner--someone who is able to reside well in a place while also not being so possessive of it that they can't flow with change.
Make Time or Be Made By Time
You're in charge. :)
Goodies
Cody Fry → He recently did a walk-through video of the orchestral version of his song "Underground." It's just fun to watch him talk about what he loves. And I just love learning about music, soooo, yes. I definitely liked this video.
Reverie → This is a song by Nathaniel Drew X Tom Fox. Nathaniel Drew primarily makes YouTube videos. Tom Fox composes music. They teamed up for some good stuff.
The Pianoman at Christmastime (The Complete Edition) → One of my favorite songs comes from this album. And the album (Thanks, you-know-who-you-are for introducing it to me a year ago.) is just a great contribution to the Christmas music world.

That's it for this week. Be happy. And go spread some holiday cheer or something. :)
